All about Me
My name is Chamath Perera, and I have lived all of my life here in Sri Lanka. I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children. I have always surfed the waves in Tangalle, and for 8 years I worked for TropicSurf in Anantara Peace Haven Resort Tangalle. Taprobana was the name by which the Indian Ocean island of Sri Lanka was known to the ancient Greeks.
My speciality is teaching beginners. You will learn the surf conditions, the tides, the swell, surfing etiquette and of course, how to catch a wave! I will provide an up-to-date suitable surfboard, rash guards, booties, towels and I will take you by tuk tuk to the best breaks. I know every surf break in Tangalle!
